IIT council & MHRD have arrived at a conclusion that........
1.The students who will be among the top 20 percent scorers of their respective boards will be eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
2.Two tests will be held-advanced and mains.
3.Advanced test will be conducted by IITs ......it will be tough like regular IIT JEE exams.........advanced test will screen 1.5 lacs student and these screened candidates will then appear in main test.
4.Main test will be conducted by CBSE...........difficulty level will be like regular AIEEE exams...........
5.Students who will qualify main test can then appear for counselling in IITS and NITs
